FAQ schema generator.
Add your questions and answers to generate valid FAQPage JSON-LD you can paste into a page. The tool checks that every question has an answer and escapes the output safely. Google no longer shows FAQ rich results in Search, so use this markup to describe the page clearly, not to expect extra search features.
This tool runs in your browser. Nothing you enter is sent anywhere or stored.
How to use it
- Write each question and answer Use the questions your visitors actually ask. Keep each answer complete on its own.
- Add or remove pairs Incomplete pairs are flagged and left out of the output until you finish them.
- Copy the JSON-LD Choose whether to include the script tag, then copy the result.
- Paste it into the page Add it to the page that shows the same questions and answers to visitors, then test it in a schema validator.
Why it matters
FAQPage markup labels question and answer pairs on a page so a machine does not have to guess where one answer ends. It is plain JSON-LD, the format Google recommends for structured data, and it sits in a script tag that does not change what visitors see.
Google limited FAQ rich results to well-known government and health sites in August 2023, and its documentation now says the FAQ rich result stopped appearing in Google Search starting May 7, 2026. The markup still documents the questions a page answers, and writing it forces each answer into a standalone block that reads well wherever it is quoted.
Two rules matter more than the code. The questions and answers in the markup must match text visitors can see on the page, and each question needs 1 answer written by the site. If visitors can post their own answers to a question, QAPage markup is the right type instead. Check Google's current documentation before you plan around any search feature, because rules change.

Questions
Where do I put the JSON-LD?
Paste the script tag into the HTML of the page, in the head or the body. Most CMS plugins and tag managers let you add a custom code block to a single page.
Can I use HTML in an answer?
Google's FAQPage documentation allows a limited set of tags in answer text, such as links, lists, and line breaks. Plain text is the safest choice.
Should I add FAQPage to every page?
Only to pages that show a real question and answer section to visitors. Marking up text that is not on the page goes against Google's guidelines.
How do I test the markup?
Paste the code into the Schema Markup Validator at validator.schema.org to check the syntax. Google's Rich Results Test shows what Google can read from a live page.
