Social share preview.

Enter a title, description, and site address, and optionally choose an image from your device. The tool shows a large card and a compact card the way many networks display shared links, and flags titles that run long or images that are small or oddly shaped. The image is never uploaded.

Chosen from your device and shown here only. It is never uploaded.

Large card

Compact card

These cards are a generic approximation. Each network crops, shortens, and styles its own preview, and caches the one it first fetched. A wide image around 1.91 to 1 suits large cards.

This tool runs in your browser. Nothing you enter is sent anywhere or stored.

How to use it

  1. Enter the title and description Use the text from your og:title and og:description tags, or the words you plan to use.
  2. Add the site address Cards show the site name under the link, so enter the domain.
  3. Choose an image Pick a file from your device. It is read in your browser and removed when you leave the page.
  4. Read the notes Fix long titles, small images, and ratios that crop badly before you share the link.

Why it matters

When someone shares a link, the network fetches the page and builds a card from its Open Graph tags. A clear title and a sharp image can decide whether the link gets a click, and a missing image leaves a plain, easy to skip line.

Each network crops and shortens differently, so this preview is an approximation. A wide image near 1.91 to 1, such as 1200 by 630 pixels, suits the large card on most networks. Keep text and faces away from the edges, because compact cards crop the image to a square.

Networks cache the card they first fetched. After you change a title or image, you may need to ask the network to refresh its copy before the new card shows. Check the tags in your page head first, since they are what the networks read. A title that fits on one or two lines usually reads best on a phone.

Questions

Is my image uploaded?

No. The file is read in your browser to draw the preview and is not sent anywhere.

What size should a share image be?

A common choice is 1200 by 630 pixels, which is about 1.91 to 1. Larger images with the same ratio also work.

Why does my real card look different?

Each network applies its own fonts, crops, and limits, and it may show a cached version. This tool shows a generic approximation.

Where do the tags come from?

The meta tags generator writes the Open Graph tags that these cards are built from.
