Export or delete your workspace
Doily is opening soon. These articles describe how the product works at launch.
Quick answer
You can export your workspace data and delete your workspace at any time. After cancellation there is a 30-day read-only grace period with full export, and then your workspace content is deleted. Account data is deleted or anonymized within 30 days of account deletion.
Before you start
- Admin access to the workspace
- A decision on whether you want a copy of your data first
Steps
-
Export first
Open your workspace settings and run a workspace export. Do this before you delete anything, so you have your own copy.
-
Disconnect integrations you no longer need
Disconnect connections you do not want to keep. Doily keeps the data a connection imported for 90 days after you disconnect, then deletes it.
-
Delete or cancel
Delete the workspace, or cancel your plan. After cancellation the workspace goes read-only for 30 days, and you can still export during that time.
-
Wait for deletion to finish
After the grace period, workspace content is hard deleted from Doily systems. Backups age out on their own cycle shortly after.
-
Delete your account if you want to
Account data is deleted or anonymized within 30 days of account deletion.
Tips
- Tell your team before you delete a workspace, so nobody loses work in progress.
- Keep a record of your cancellation date. The 30-day grace period starts from it.
- Reports you shared as links stop working when the workspace is gone, so download the PDFs you want to keep.
- For questions about your data rights, email [email protected].
Troubleshooting
Is cancelling the same as deleting?
No. Cancelling a paid plan returns the workspace to Free at the end of the period. Deleting a workspace removes its content after the grace period.
Can I get my data back after the grace period?
No. After the 30-day read-only grace period, content is hard deleted. Export before then.
What about tracking history?
History is kept according to your plan's retention window while the workspace exists.
