Export tables and save guides

Doily is opening soon. These articles describe how the product works at launch.

Quick answer

Ask Doily can turn a list into a clean table you export as CSV or XLSX, and it can save a useful answer as a guide in your knowledge library. Exports follow your report branding, so a white label workspace never shows Doily. Exports need the export permission.

Before you start

  • A role with the export permission
  • An answer or list worth keeping

Steps

  1. Ask for a table

Ask for the data as a table. For example: List my top 20 keywords by position as a table.

  2. Choose CSV or XLSX

Export the table as a CSV for other tools or as an XLSX for spreadsheets.

  3. Check the branding

The export uses your report branding. A white label workspace gets exports that never mention Doily.

  4. Save a strong answer as a guide

When an answer is worth reusing, ask Ask Doily to save it as a guide. The guide is stored in your knowledge library.

  5. Reuse the guide

Saved guides become part of the client's knowledge, so you and your team can find them again. Ask Doily can draw on them in later answers.

Tips

  • Ask for the columns you need, such as keyword, position, and change, so the table is ready to share without editing.
  • Use a clear title for each guide. It makes search results in your library easier to scan.
  • Check the numbers in an export against the cited source before you send it to a client.

Troubleshooting

Why can I not export?

Exports need the export permission. Ask a workspace admin to turn on that capability for your role.

Do exports cost extra credits?

The Ask Doily message that creates the table costs 1 credit. The file itself is not a separate charge.

Can I export data from a client I cannot access?

No. Ask Doily works inside the client and permissions your role has, so an export contains only data you are allowed to see.

Who can see a saved guide?

Guides saved from an answer belong to the client they came from, and your role determines who can open them.
