Invite your team and set roles
Doily is opening soon. These articles describe how the product works at launch.
Quick answer
Invite teammates from your workspace settings and give each one a role: admin, team, collaborator, or client. Capability toggles control sensitive areas such as billing, raw AI responses, exports, and tasks. Seats are 1 on Free, 3 on Starter, 5 on Team, and 10 plus 3 per level on Agency.
Before you start
- A Doily role that can manage people
- The email address of each person you want to invite
Steps
-
Check your seats
Free includes 1 seat, Starter 3, Team 5, and Agency 10 staff seats plus 3 per level. Extra staff seats are $15 a month on any paid plan.
-
Send the invitation
Invite a person by email and choose their role. They accept the invitation and sign in with their own account.
-
Choose the right role
Admins manage the workspace. Team members do the day-to-day work. Collaborators see only the clients shared with them. Clients see only their own workspace.
-
Adjust capabilities
Capability toggles allow or block sensitive areas for a role, such as billing details, raw AI responses, exports, creating tasks, and publishing recommendations.
-
Review access regularly
Remove people who no longer need access. Ask Doily follows the same permissions, so a removed capability is removed there too.
Tips
- Review roles when a project changes hands. A short audit of who can see billing and exports takes a few minutes.
- Give people the smallest role that lets them do their job.
- Agency client logins are unlimited and do not use staff seats.
- Ask workspace admins to require two-factor authentication for everyone.
Troubleshooting
I am out of seats. What can I do?
Add staff seats for $15 a month each, or move to a plan with more seats.
What happens to seats if I downgrade?
Seats over the new limit become view-only. Nothing is deleted, and a banner lists what is affected.
A teammate cannot see billing. Why?
Billing details need a specific capability. An admin can turn it on for their role.
