Turn an answer into a task

Quick answer
Ask Doily can draft a task or a recommendation from an answer. Nothing is created until you confirm on the confirmation card, and you need the matching role permission. Tasks and recommendations created this way behave exactly as if you had made them by hand.
Before you start
- A role that is allowed to create tasks
- An answer that points to something you want to do
Steps

Ask for the next step
After an answer, ask Ask Doily to turn it into a task. For example: Create a task to fix the pages with missing titles.

Review the confirmation card
Ask Doily drafts the task and shows it on a card. Read the title and details, and edit anything that is wrong.

Confirm or cancel
Confirm to create the task, or cancel to discard the draft. Nothing is written before you confirm.

Send a recommendation if you advise clients
Ask Doily can also draft a recommendation. If your role can publish recommendations, it is published. Otherwise it goes to an approval queue.

Find it in your task list
A confirmed task appears with your other tasks, and your usual permissions, audit trail, and notifications apply.
Tips
- Tasks are most useful when they name one change on one page or one setting, not a general goal.
- Ask for one task per request so each card is easy to review.
- Include a due date or an owner in your request to save editing time.
Troubleshooting
Why is there no confirmation card?
Your role may not include permission to create tasks. Ask a workspace admin to turn on that capability.
My recommendation did not publish. Why?
Without the approval permission, a recommendation is placed in the approval queue until someone with that permission approves it.
Can I edit a task after I confirm it?
Yes. A confirmed task is an ordinary task, so you can edit, assign, and complete it like any other.
Can Ask Doily create tasks for several clients at once?
It works inside the client you are asking about. To create tasks for another client, switch to that client first.
Does creating a task cost credits?
The Ask Doily message costs 1 credit. Confirming the action does not add a charge.
