Doily is opening soon. These articles describe how the product works at launch.

Quick answer

A scheduled report takes a snapshot of your data at the moment it sends and stamps it Data as of with that date. The email can include a PDF when the PDF is under 10 MB and PDF attachments are turned on. Scheduled reports are not available on the Free plan.

Before you start

  • A finished report
  • At least one email address to send it to

Steps

  1. Open the report's schedule

Choose how often the report should send, such as weekly or monthly, and who should receive it.

  2. Pick the delivery format

A report can go out as an email digest that links to the report, as a PDF, or both.

  3. Turn on the PDF attachment if you want one

When PDF attachments are enabled, Doily attaches the PDF if it is under 10 MB. A larger PDF is not attached, and the recipient uses the live link.

  4. Understand the snapshot

At send time Doily takes a snapshot of the numbers and stamps the report Data as of with the date, so the report matches what the client was sent.

  5. Check opens after sending

Doily tracks opens, so you can see which recipients opened a report and when, for example Opened by a client on Oct 8, 2026.

Tips

  • Send a test to yourself first and read the Data as of date.
  • If a PDF is often too large, remove a page of charts or send the live link only.

Troubleshooting

Why did the PDF not arrive as an attachment?

Either PDF attachments are off for the report, or the PDF was over 10 MB. The live link in the email still works.

Why does the report not show today's numbers?

Scheduled reports are snapshots. They show the data as of the send time, so they match what the client received.

Can I schedule on Free?

No. Scheduled reports are refused on Free. Upgrade to Starter or higher to schedule.
