What Verified, Beta, and Manual mean

Updated Oct 11, 2026 2 min read All plans

Doily is opening soon. These articles describe how the product works at launch.

Quick answer

Every connection carries one of three labels. Verified means it has been tested end to end with a real account. Beta means the sign-in and data mapping are built and tested against recorded examples, but no live account has run through it yet. Manual means you upload or share data without a live link.

Before you start

  • A tool you want to connect

Steps

  1. Find the label

Open Integrations. The label sits next to each connection's name, so you can check it before you start.

  2. Choose Verified when you can

Verified connections have been connected and synced with a real account from start to finish. They are the safest choice for reports that clients rely on.

  3. Use Beta with a check

Beta connections are built and tested against recorded examples. Connect one, then confirm that the first sync finishes and the numbers match the source.

  4. Know what Manual means

Manual connections cover tools without a live connection, such as a file you upload, an invitation to share access, or a public page Doily reads. You refresh them yourself.

  5. Watch labels change

A Beta connection becomes Verified once a customer connects it and a sync completes without errors.

Tips

  • Labels describe testing, not ownership. A Manual connection is still part of your workspace, and your data stays scoped to it.
  • Compare the first synced numbers with the source tool before you put them in a client report.
  • If a Beta connection fails to sync, email [email protected] so the team can help.

Troubleshooting

Is Beta unsafe?

No. Beta describes how much real-world testing a connection has had, not whether it protects your data. Access rules are the same for every label.

Why is a tool I use marked Manual?

That tool does not offer a live link Doily can read, so data arrives by upload, invitation, or public page.

Can a label change after I connect?

Yes. A Beta connection moves to Verified after a customer connects it and a sync completes without errors, and the new label applies to everyone.

How many connections are there?

Doily offers 181 connections in 20 categories.
